Serving God Together as a Family

Read the Bible through:

2 Kings 14-15 : PM – Luke 24:13-53

Accepting Responsibility
2 Corinthians 5.16-21

20 "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.”

Lily Dawson, a native of India whose parents were missionaries, talks with everyone she encounters and tells them about Christ as she takes her daily walk around the neighborhood, wearing her traditional Indian sari. Although she has changed her residence several times over the years, she continues this habit. Wherever she lives, she is a unique ambassador for Christ, totally reconciled to God.

In a letter to the new Christians at Corinth, Paul urged them to be ambassadors for Christ. These were strong words due to the hostile environment surrounding them. In the less hostile environment of free America, it can be easier for us; but our instructions are the same. Lily Dawson, who accepts her ambassadorship responsibilities strongly and happily, can be an example for us.

Father, help me to be an ambassador for You.
