Trusting God’s Grace
2 Corinthians 9:8-15

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

To me, living by faith means when your needs are fewer, God’s supply is sufficient; when your needs are more, His supply is ample. Within His will, our needs never overwhelm His ability to meet them. At times, like Paul, our need may be to learn “to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need” (Phil. 4:12).

In 1989, when I felt led to leave Oklahoma and go to Nevada, our older children were sophomores and juniors in High School and our youngest was in the third grade. Our new income was going to be $34,000 less than we were used to. Humanly speaking, financial ruin was imminent. But we felt compelled to be obedient and trust God. Nineteen years later how humbly grateful we are for stretching our trust in His marvelous grace and finding Him completely reliable. As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever” (Cor. 9:11).

Thank You, God, for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, in whom we find complete satisfaction.
