In the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel (Rom. 2:16).
“I’ve Got a Secret” was a popular show in the early days of television. A panel of four celebrities would try to guess the secret of a contestant through questioning. The show was lighthearted and fun to watch. Discovering someone’s secret entertained us.
Although we can keep secrets from one another, the Bible clearly teaches there are no secrets from God. In fact, at the coming of Jesus Christ, all that is hidden will be known.
Those of us who are related to God through Christ do not have to dread that day. On the contrary, we live our lives knowing that Jesus, our Advocate, will stand with us at the judgment. He has exonerated us by His death on the cross. With Paul we can rejoice, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1)
Hallelujah for the cross that freed us from God’s judgment.
Father, thank You for my salvation. Thank You for sending Jesus to deliver me from condemnation
