Preparing the Way
Through Faithful Servants
Luke 1:5-7
Read the Bible through:
AM – Daniel 4 : PM – 2 Peter 2
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless (Luke 1:6).
I know a couple who met and married many years ago. After trying to conceive for a few months, doctors told them they would never be able to have children. Having grown up with seven siblings and the desire to have a large family of her own, she felt lost and hurt. How could God have allowed this to happen? The husband had his own doubts as well. As they tried to get on with their lives, God’s promise that He would always be there penetrated their hearts. They both loved the Lord and did what they knew to be His will.
Much like the couple above, Zacharias and Elisabeth were faithful to God. God uses faithful servants to complete His work and to impact the lives of those around them. I know this very well. You see, I am good friends with one of the four children God gave to the couple mentioned above.
Lord help me always to remain Your faithful servant.
