With power and love
Isaiah 40:10-11

Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him (Isaiah 40:10).
Who doesn’t love a good story about a good, strong king who loves his people? A king who defeats his evil enemies with grace and honor but puts morality back into the fight? A king whose very mention of his name brings an automatic respect from those within listening distance? A king who in the face of difficulty still displays heartfelt determination to win without sacrificing his own men and does so without apology? A king who in the face of turmoil hears his people cry for vengeance and waits patiently for the appropriate time to act?
We have such a King! Our King can speak worlds into being with His own breath. Our King created the greatest mountain heights yet hears the trickle of the smallest water stream making music to its Creator.
This same King, our invincible God, loves His children and cares for them. How wonderful it is to know our God can rule with power and with love.
O God, thank You for ruling with power and with love.
