"I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth" (Gen. 9:13).
We get so little rain here in Las Vegas, Nevada (about 4 inches a year) but when it does rain we get to see the best of rainbows.
The rainbow is a sign of God's promise to Noah to never again destroy the earth by flooding. God revealed many other signs recorded throughout the Bible. The signs reveal God's specific purposes. The greatest sign of all was revealed by God to the shepherds concerning a baby who would be born in a manger. He said this baby, the Son of God, would be the Savior of the world. God's promise of salvation is still valid. We need only to claim that promise.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of everlasting life through Jesus, our Savior.
