Preaching in an outdoor meeting in the city square of Tarlac in the Philippines, the preacher had an experience that showed him when the Word of God is preached in simplicity and truth it has the power within itself to reach anyone, anywhere, anytime. He had requested the pastor-interpreter say and do what he said and did. Beginning the invitation one evening, he inadvertently tipped over his microphone. Immediately, his translator overturned his.
The man who had rented them his microphones was listening, as he did each evening, atop one of the high speaker poles. Immediately, he started descending down the pole. The preacher also realized he could possibly be facing a very angry person. He was wrong.
The man rushed to the interpreter, tears streaming down his face, and asked the young pastor if he would lead him to Christ as Savior. The preacher learned that evening there is absolutely no exclusion to who is included in the “all of the gospel.”
Thank You, Father, for the gospel that excluded no one.
