Cain became angry when God did not accept his sacrifice. God encouraged him to do the right thing and try again. God's warning was clear: Cain must get rid of his anger or sin would destroy him.
Have your heard the saying "one bad apple spoils the whole barrel"? If there is just one apple in the bunch with a soft, bruised spot, watch out! Isn't it that way in our family relationships sometimes? Just a tiny little sin that is not removed can grow to threaten and destroy the relationships with the people we love and treasure most.
Check your family relationships and see if there is sin hiding behind any doors that threatens to weaken or destroy those family ties. God's warning is clear: get rid of that sin today.
God, let my family relationships be guided by Your love.
