The famous artist Thomas Kinkade known as the "Painter of Light," has a deep desire to help and encourage people through his art, He believes God called him to create an unusual art form that often brings a sense of peace and tranquility to those who view his work. The secret, he believes, is the light he felt led to paint into every picture.
After creating the earth, the first thing God spoke into existence was light. Why? One reason was that light was necessary for life in the physical world. The light of Jesus Christ is necessary in the spiritual realm as well. In John 8:12 Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
The light God spoke into existence obliterated the darkness that permeated the earth in the beginning. The light of Christ guides sinners from the darkness of sin and its penalty into everlasting life.
Dear God, thank You for the light of Your peace made possible in Christ.
