During the months following the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks, American united as we had not done in many years. Congress unanimously placed itself under the direction of the president as he declared war on terror. The nation looked to the president for leadership.
Christians have more than a capable leader in God’s Holy Spirit. But we must choose to place ourselves under His control and direction. While slaves are made subservient, God’s children choose subservience. No place exists for “lone rangers” in God’s kingdom. Placing ourselves under God’s governance requires humility and obedience on our part. This approach is our only path to victorious Christian living.
Who leads you? Do society and the desires of the flesh guide you or are you looking to God’s Spirit for leadership? Look to Him. He will lead you!
Thank You, Father, for your superior leadership. I place myself under the control of Your Holy Spirit
