The Resurrection and the Life

Read the Bible through:
AM –
1 Samuel 11-13 : PM – Luke 7:36-50

Inspiring Belief
John 11:45-46

45 “Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him,”

As one crosses the bay bridge in Oakland, California, there are warning signs with blinking yellow lights. When heavy fog descends on the bay, drivers have difficulty seeing clearly. If they are not careful, they will likely have an accident.

Many who viewed the miracles of Jesus were able to observe His divinity and understand He was the Messiah. They saw; therefore, they believed. Why didn’t others who witnessed the same events believe in Jesus? Sin and misplaced priorities had created a fog. They were unable to see clearly and were in danger of suffering a tragic, spiritual accident.

God speaks to your heart, often using Scriptures, to send warning signs you are in an emotional or intellectual fog. Worldly matters become to important, or perhaps pride clouds your judgment. Don’t make the same mistake as those who ignored the words of Jesus. Believe in Him and His Word, so you may see clearly.

Lord, help me to be alert as I seek to walk with You.
