Praying That Focuses on God

Read the Bible through:
AM –
Deut. 15-17 : PM – Mark 9:30-50

His Judgement
Daniel 9:11-14

14 "Therefore the LORD has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the LORD our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice”

Being inside a real courtroom was a new experience for him. But a custody hearing for his granddaughter was important enough to have him sitting in the third row, waiting for the judge to appear. Others in the room appeared to be sharing his level of anxiety. They were all there for various reasons, but they had one thing in common – the judge’s ruling. Each person sitting in that courtroom would have their lives affected one way or the other by the verdict pronounced by the judge, a person none of them had ever met.

How blessed we are as God’s children that when God sits in judgment of our lives, we have a personal relationship with Him. We know we can fully trust Him to judge in fairness and for our good.

Father, how blessed I am to know You as my personal Lord and Savior, Help me to remember that blessing when I come to You in prayer.
