Praying That Focuses on God

Read the Bible through:
AM –
Deut. 12-14 : PM – Mark 9:14-29

His Righteousness
Daniel 9:5-10

7 "O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day-to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You

Family time in our house meant sitting around the kitchen table talking as a family. The topic of conversation varied. Was there good news to share, such as a promised shopping trip? Or would the adults gang up on the kids and talk about chores not done? Quite often, the first question out of our daughters’ mouths would be “What did I do this time?”

As God’s children we often need to come to the Father confessing our failures at fulfilling our intentions to live for Him. How blessed we are there is never a need to worry about God’s being anything but righteous and holy as He enables us to do our best. We can always trust His guidance.

Father, Thank You for being righteous and holy and always ready to guide me each day.
