It was the first big trip she took without her parents. She was excited because she was going to share a hotel room with two older girls from her church. She was having a great time, and the best thing was her parents were nowhere in sight. This was her chance to spread her wings and do whatever she wanted to do. That is until she met a lady at the conference who graciously introduced herself and said, “Have you called your dad?”
Her dad had called a friend and asked her to check on her. It would have been easier for him to call her directly at her hotel room, but he had a point to make. Wherever she would go, he would be thinking of her and trusting she would be making the right choices.
God is always present. He cares what we do in life because He loves us.
