Because God Seeks All
Matthew 18:14

14 "Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish"

Years ago, during Student Week At LifeWay Glorieta Conference Center, just before going into the worship service, the students learned that three of the students were lost in the mountains. The night was a cold stormy one. As the lightning flashed and the thunder echoed in the mountains; students cried and prayed for the students’ safety. Ironically, the sermon was about the lost sheep. When the service concluded, the announcement was made that the three were found unharmed. Jubilant rejoicing broke out.

God is the Shepherd seeking His lost sheep, much like the searchers sought the students lost in the mountains. God does not want harm to come to the smallest sheep. He wills that not even the least important person nor the most violent offender perish. Imagine the jubilant rejoicing in heaven when one lost person is rescued.

If God continues to seek those who are lost, should we not join Him.

Lord, thank You for allowing me to join You in seeking those who are lost.
