Going to Help Others
Acts 16:5-10

9
"And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."

A man from Macedonia: a fellow so distinguished by his facial features, his skin color, and his dress that Paul knew what nation was calling to him in his vision.

When our daughter first went to Africa, all black people looked alike to her. However, she soon came to recognize the smiling, bright-eyed Massai with their red tweed blankets. Then she came to know the tall, thin Fulani men with broad-brimmed straw hats and their women with their teeth colored with a type of lipstick. She could distinguish the Eastern Nigerian tribes wearing their yellows, golds, and reds.

So many people - all so distinct and different - yet all so similar in their need for Christ.

Paul did not hesitate to share the gospel with any person or group. He was always ready to help others.

Oh God, may I be obedient to Your call to help others.
