Reasons to Tell the Good News

Read the Bible through:
AM –
Ezekiel 40-41 : PM – James 5

Because Some Will Believe
Acts 17:10-15

12 "Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men."

Adoniram Judson was a missionary to India. He was faced with “constant problems and suffering. Adoniram was put in prison for preaching about Jesus to people unwilling to hear. He was often beaten and driven in chains across the burning desert sands. . . . Judson preached for seven long years before even one person accepted Christ as Savior. . . . Because of his faithful work he left behind 7,000 Christians, 63 churches, and 163 missionaries.” (Julia H. Johnston 1849-1919)

Like Judson and the apostle Paul, we must be faithful in sharing the good news with no guarantees that people will be saved. However, seeing someone saved is a thrill equal to our own salvation experience. We share in that joy because another person is rescued from Satan’s stronghold. Therefore, we must continue to share the good news because some will believe.

Lord, today may I seize every opportunity you give me to share the good news with lost people.
