Opening the Door of Faith
Acts 14:21-27

27 "Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles."

His African host smiled broadly as he told him that he was the first white man to sit on his front porch. He pointed across the street to the little mud-walled church topped by a wooden cross and told him that a member of his family started that church.

He marveled that he could be doing a “first.” The first white man to sit on his porch. The first white man to hear the story of the first member of the First Baptist Church in his village.

The wonder is that similar “first” stories are happening to missionaries all over the world every day. New doors of faith are being opened to new people groups who have never before had missionaries in their homes. Does the Holy Spirit have plans for you to be a part of a “first” story?

Father, help me to be excited about opening new doors of faith
