Tami Kegley chose to leave her producer’s desk at KOMO 4 News in Seattle to stay at home and raise her and her husband’s two children. Giving up the career for which she had prepared was not easy for Tami, but she knew that was what she wanted.
Tami is teaching her children to honor God and sets an example for them in her own faithful service through her church. She works in Sunday School, music, FAITH, prayer ministries, and other church programs. She also uses her media and computer skills in the work of the church and association. Her pastor says, “She seized every opportunity to serve God and her family with love, commitment, and time.”
Paul emphasized the need for making the most of every opportunity and for “understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Eph. 5:17). Should not Paul’s words be a priority for all of us in these troubled times?
Dear God, lead me to use my time and energy wisely today.
