On September 11, 2001, our nation was drastically changed. A sense of unity with victims and rescuers enveloped us all, and money poured in for the relief efforts. Christians were there to offer not only food and physical comfort, but a witness about the true comforter who wants to save us from eternal disaster. Because they willingly gave of themselves, New York and the nation saw the love of God in action.
God has given us the continual privilege of tithing through our church to not only win our neighbors to Jesus, but to have a part in spreading the good news worldwide. When we read about the persecution and sacrifice our missionaries make to minister, how can we not share our resources to help? Some go; others hold the ropes; We all share the rewards.
Lord, thank You for the privilege of sharing to spread Your kingdom around the world.
